It's been a while since we all battled for some kind of Google invite, so it's good of the company to acknowledge that and introduce the invite-only Music Beta by Google.
In truth, it doesn't sound all that right now, so we're not too upset that it's only available for US folk right now. Essentially it allows you to store 20,000 songs in 'the cloud', with the option to access all those tunes wherever you are in the world.

Not content with releasing the best box set of last year, David Bowie is now using one of the tracks off it to create the Golden Years iPhone app, landing on 6th June apparently.
What does it offer? Well, it offers YOU the chance to remix the 1975 classic, with eight 'stem files' to play with - Bowie's lead vocal, 12-string guitar, bass, drums, guitar, harmonium, percussion (including blocks, congas, claps) and backing vocals. All of those are taken from the original 16-track recording.
