Beastie Boys new album - stream Hot Sauce Committee Part Two in full here! Now!

This isn't dodgy, trust us. But you can hear the Beastie Boys new album, which goes by the name of Hot Sauce Committee Part Two below ahead of its actual release.

Why? Well, basically, it leaked online. Rather than get angry about it, the band decided to make an official album stream available ahead of the May 2nd release date. So here it is. That should help to heal those post-bank holiday blues...

Free music: Track off Marianne Faithful's new Horses and High Heels album

Oh, here's an early peek (or should that be listen) of the new Marianne Faithful album, which goes by the name of Horses and High Heels.

It's available from June 28th (via Naive Records), consisting of four originals and eight covers ranging from Carol King’s Going Back to Greg Dulli & Mark Lanegan's The Stations.  Four of the tracks feature guitarist John Porter (Eric Clapton, The Smiths) while the legendary Wayne Kramer also makes some cameo appearances.

Anyway, here's that track available (legally) for you. It's called Why Did We Have To Part? and it's available right here.

Now this is weird, in quite a good way. Fritz Von Runte: Bowie 2001 - A Space Oddity that is.

The man behind it is Manchester-based producer Fritz von Runte, previously behind 2009's Lily Allen Remixed and The Beatles Hate, a flipside to the Cirque du Soleil's soundtrack The Beatles Love. This time he's remixing the Bowie back catalogue, mixing in 2001: A Space Odyssey and some electronic sounds for good measure. Space Oddity...Space Odyssey...get it?

Free music: Track off the newly-expanded Deserter's Songs by Mercury Rev

What's not to like about Deserter's Songs by Mercury Rev? Very little - it's a modern-day indie / rock / psych classic that should be in everyone's collection. Even if you only play it once every couple of years. Anyway, if you've not got it, the album is getting an expanded reissue in May.

Specifically, we're talking 16th May according to Amazon, with the single album now packing a 13-track bonus disc of demos, b-sides, rarities and outtakes.

Free Music: Paloma Faith, Graham Coxon and Bill Ryder-Jones do Desire

Converse seems to be trying its best to get into the UK music scene. It's already bailed out the 100 Club and as part of an ongoing campaign, the famed footwear maker has been knocking out free and exclusive music tracks. The latest being Paloma Faith, Graham Coxon and Bill Ryder-Jones doing a track called Desire.

You cans hear it on their site or you can download it. It's an interesting one, sounding nothing much like anything any of them have done before. More like a slice of raucous indie pop. Not that you need to take my word for it, you can get it for nowt yourself.
