What's not to like about Deserter's Songs by Mercury Rev? Very little - it's a modern-day indie / rock / psych classic that should be in everyone's collection. Even if you only play it once every couple of years. Anyway, if you've not got it, the album is getting an expanded reissue in May.
Specifically, we're talking 16th May according to Amazon, with the single album now packing a 13-track bonus disc of demos, b-sides, rarities and outtakes.
See over the page for the full lowdown or listen to / download the classic Opus 40 from here. Legally of course.
