A while back,

In an already busy summer,
Check this. Bob Dylan, Iggy & the Stooges, Chuck Berry (backed by the Silver Beats), the Black Keys and Wilco will play at this years Virgin Mobile Festival at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore on Aug. 9-10.
A lot us never got the chance to see Bob Dylan and Neil Young, in their prime. With that, we have to hope we catch 'em on a good day in their autumnal years. Well, one place to catch 'em both for the price of one ticket is the Optimus Alive! festival in Lisbon, Portugal this July.
On the weekend of September 19-21, My Bloody Valentine will perform in the United States for the first time in 16 years to curate ATP New York, the new American branch of the All Tomorrow's Parties festival. The event will take place at Kutshers Country Club in Monticello, New York and looks like a real cracker!

Could be good...could be...well, not so good - we will have to wait a few months to find out if the Mighty Boosh Festival is a good or bad idea. I suspect the former.
We always knew Massive Attack were an eclectic bunch - but if you were in any doubt, check out the line-up for the band's forthcoming Meltdown.
If you're anything like me, you've always fancied putting a festival on. If you're anything like me, you haven't because you're too broke and know that festivals are a huge gamble. So how about getting someone else to pay for it? Well... you might be in luck.
The Lemonheads have been confirmed to headline this year's Truck Festival in Steventon, South Oxfordshire in July. This will be Evan Dando & Co's only UK gig this year, so if you wanna party like it's the mid-nineties, then get out the plastic. Why? Well, the group will perform their indie-fave It's A Shame About Ray in it's entirety. They'll probably play other stuff too.
After all these years, The Stooges are finally getting their dues. Last years carnage at various festivals, left people in no doubt - The Stooges are a band unloved for too long. So, this summer sees The Stooges headlining the fifth annual Get Loaded In The Park.
I've never liked Oasis. Never. Never bought a record. Never going to. So why am I featuring them as a news article? Well, firstly, because Noel Gallagher always has somethin' to say on everything which, secondly, may or may not get your dander up. So what's he chunnering on about now? Well, the Parker from Thunderbirds lookalike has criticised the decision to have a hip hop act as the headline for the Glastonbury Festival.
This is really beginning to bug me. Right. This is the rub. Jay-Z is reportedly ready to pull out of his headline slot at Glastonbury, in favour of performing at the O2 Wireless Festival in Hyde Park instead.
If these rumours are true, it seems Jay-Z is ready for the off because he's sick of being made the scapegoat for low sales of Glastonbury tickets this year.
This news couldn't mean less to me... but some of youse like Oasis, so with that, I'll quit parpin' on and just give you some facts straight-up (no chaser).
If you have read any reviews of Le beat Bespoke 4 before now - IGNORE THEM. Why? It was probably written by a London based sycophant who got his ticket for free or worse still, some mod with an interest in self promotion and regurgitating the myths about the scene in an attempt to keep 'the flame' alive. Everything you have read, or will read - except this review - will be wrong.

With Glasto pimping their green arse to almost any good cause and the Isle of Wight fest now brought to you in association with British Telecom, it's nice to see that Lounge on the Farm is sponsored by the spirit of rock 'n' roll. Even though it is in Canterbury. Anyway, Lounge on the Farm has a lip smacking line-up... who?
Thom Yorke has revealed that Radiohead didn’t want to play Glastonbury this summer because of the lack of a local transport infrastructure around the festival site.
In short, it ain't green enough. So, in short(er), STICK THAT FAKE HIPPIES!
Do you like your indiepop psych flavoured? Well, Supergrass and The Coral have been confirmed as the headliners at this year's Summer Sundae Weekender... so... there.
Liverpudlian beat combo The Coral will be performing a special acoustic set at the festival. The annual bash takes place at its regular home De Montfort Hall and Gardens, Leicester on August 8-10.

I've always thought of the World of Music, Arts & Dance Festival, or WOMAD as it's usually called, as deeply un-hip. If anything sums up the yoghurt weaving and hemp wearing community of Britain, it's WOMAD. And, not only that, everytime I say 'WOMAD' I'm reminded of Womack & Womack.
Listen. I don't wanna argue about this... but The Sonics are the greatest band who ever did live okay? Whoa! I said I didn't wanna argue... if you got beef, take it up with some Strychnine.
