Bag an original East German Disco poster
Salvage experts Trainspotters have dug up a real gem from the former East Germany - a batch of colourful posters for a long-forgotten club.
The club was called Disco and the posters were found in a former Kulturhaus. All are unused, said to be 'excellent to mint condition' and are dated to 1976. Details of the designer aren't known.
The remaining stock has been framed and being offered for sale - you can pick up one of the 61cm x 84cm posters for £210.

It's no mistake that the flyer on the right of this article features the words 'Electric Roulette'. Why? Well, one of the Electric Roulette scribes is playing rekkids down in Camden for a rare trip South.
Listen. I don't wanna argue about this... but The Sonics are the greatest band who ever did live okay? Whoa! I said I didn't wanna argue... if you got beef, take it up with some Strychnine.
When you think of Liverpool, chances are you think of The Beatles, Jimmy Corkhill, football and burglary. Well change yer choon bucko... Liverpool is the place to see a tittytassle or two and some rockin' surf and garage bands... and a line-up of DJs that are itchin' to melt your face off with some dynamite 45s.
Beat Boutique opens its doors on Friday 8th February with a very special guest -legendary funk DJ Jazzman Gerald, alongside Andy Madhatter (Vox Pop records) and resident soul spinners Paul 'Jnr' Walker, Liam Q and Paul B for a playlist of black american soul music on 100% vinyl.
Live in London and wanna get your kicks? Chances are, you've been down to the Dirty Water and found 'em... but what about having a change? Is that possible? Yup. Course it is!
The best thing about garage nights is that they tend to feature some fuckin' great bands sandwiched between the sleazoid vinyl treats. Peterborough's hotspot, The Cockroach Club is no exception. Promising to bring the best in new and old garage and surf, not to mention psych, surf, rockabilly and "good old dirty rock 'n' roll", this promises to be one skuzzy night out.
I can't forgive Love Shack easily, but I do love a good chunk of the B-52s' past work. And now the band is back, playing a one-off DJ gig at the Punk club in London's Soho.
Mates. Cheeky fuckers aren't they? They never ring you unless they're after something. It's a bit of a shameless one this in that case. I used to DJ with a buncha lads at a night in Manchester and now they've got a night called Hot Rats in Chorlton (which is South Manchester... don't worry, you can get a bus there easy enough from town... you'll know you're there when you see shops selling nothing but sandals and lentils) which plays folk you can dance to, prog and pretty much anything that falls under the psychedelic umbrella.

If you don't own a copy of The Look by Paul Gorman, you really should. It's just about the best book around on the modern history of fashion, from the 1950s to the present day. And the reasoning behind that is soon to be turned into a monthly club night in London.

If you happen to be in the Liverpool area, it's well worth making the effort to drop into Friction.
Decent sixties nights are hard to come by. They're either po-faced mod nights that are as much about what type of suit you're wearing as the music, or worse still, people in hippie wigs dancing to Brown Eyed Girl. Well, kicking the trend, and tucked away in the belly of a cinema in York is the marvellously monickered Revolutionary Freaked Out Fuzz Club.
Probably the longest-running (and most famous modern-day) northern soul allnighter - the 6Ts 100 Club Allnighter - is no more. The night is being forced to close due to a change of promoter, who is extending "normal" hours until 3am - leaving little time for any late-night shenanigans.
