The Orb x David Gilmour - Metallic Spheres album release

It sounds like a marriage made in heaven, ambient maestros The Orb have teamed up Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour for the Metallic Spheres album, which is released by Columbia Records on Monday 4th October.

Originally a charity track, it's been extended into a full-length album by Youth and Alex Paterson, with Gilmour adding his guitars to the lengthy two-part project. Metallic Spheres is designed to be heard in two parts - 'Metallic Side' (24’48”), and 'Spheres Side' (25’09”) and is available as a standard CD, a double CD (complete with 3D60 mix), a standard album download, double album download and double vinyl.
