You tell us what the best of 2008 is because you're cooler.
No-one listens to music in the way music critics write about. No-one. I mean, it's likely that I spent the whole of 2005 listening to music not released in 2005. Possibly. The year ain't the point. The fact is, when it comes to Christmas, all the music rags get together to say "THESE ARE THE BEST LPs OF THE YEAR". Most people will own 4 or 5 of these LPs, rendering the rest of the combined lists useless. SO. This is where you bitches come in.
Instead of listening to us parp on about our fave releases... dig... you, Readers of The R, send us a list of the 10 LPs you've been digging most this year. They don't have to be released this year, reissued this year... just the 10 coolest LPs you've been loving. So if you've rediscovered the joys of 'Stand!' by Sly and the Family Stone or you've been unable to stop listening to 'Richard D. James' all year, stick it the list... you might just turn someone else on to a great rekkid! Our contact is top right. Or, info@[the URL of this fuggin' website y'dummy]
