Hopper, Lou Reed, Edie Sedgwick, Nico... all star in DVD release of Warhol's screen tests!

Hearda Warhol's screen tests? No. Well, they're screen tests, filmed by Andy Warhol. Dufus.

Of course, Andy Warhol's Factory screen tests, have featured a few people who went on to be super famous and stuff. So they're interesting right? Who?

Well, there's Lou Reed, Nico, Edie Sedgwick and Dennis Hopper for keeps! They are all to feature on an official release for the first time.

The DVD, '13 Most Beautiful... Songs From Andy Warhol's Screen Tests', features screen tests recorded between '64 and '66 at the artist's New York Factory Studios.

An original soundtrack to the silent screen tests has been written by Dean Wareham and Britta Phillips and the DVD is released on February 16 2009 in the UK. There's a video over the jump to give you a flavour... looks good to us!
