Weezer - World Record Holding Band of Misfit Geeks!

Boyoboy! The dorks from Weezer sure have a hoot! When they're not takin' off Happy Days, they're poking all kindsa fun at various cult YouTube clips... and now they're breaking world records! Here's some custard pies being thrown (and then, if you join me over the jump, I'll tell you that I'm not really into 'em, but I do like their attitude and what records have been broken)

So, Weezer. They've set a load of World Records... five no less... in the new video for 'Troublemaker', taken from their last release, ‘Red Album’. While shooting the clip, they got down a Norris McWhirter type called Stuart Claxton who came along with a clipboard, stopwatch and an eagle eye to certify.

The band and pals set new records for Largest Game of Dodgeball, Most People in a Custard Pie Fight, Most People Riding on a Skateboard, Largest Air Guitar Ensemble, and Longest Guitar Hero World Tour Marathon. Add to this,Pat Wilson played the World's Smallest Drum Kit in the video, a record the band is trying to get in the book as an official record. Not only that, the fans, super-dorks themselves, have a breeze playin' Weezer tracks...

See, I don't even like Weezer records... but man, it looks like a fun place to visit. I'm sure that, at some point, some Weezer fans are gonna stumble across this and say "HEY MAN! WE AIN'T DORKS! WE'VE TAKEN ENOUGH CRAP!" However, that's assuming being a dork is a bad thing. It ain't. So, a breakdown of the records? Read on...
