New David Holmes album (warning: He's gone a bit 'What's Goin' On')

Davidholmes I like David Holmes as a bloke. There's two reasons. One: I've seen him DJ three times... once he played Detroit techno, the second he played psych and punk and the third time he played a variety of slipmats  while hammering out crude drunken beats on a horses arse. Okay, one of those is a lie (the psych and punk one) but you get the gist - he's eclectic and does what he likes. Second reason... and the main point of this article... is that there's a picture of him knocking around the internet of him smacking someone in the face from behind his decks. However, I can't find it. That doesn't render this pointless. Hell no Holmer fans!

He's got a new LP comin' out. It's called 'The Holy Pictures'. Due out September 8th release and preceded by a single, 'I Heard Wonders' (August 25th), the LP will be, in his words: "The story eally began on August 4th, 1996, when my mother, Sarah Holmes, passed away. I had always wanted to make a record about my life in Belfast and all the things attached to that – family, friends, loss, love and starting a family of my own. All the stuff that shapes the person you become." The album will be released via a record label on various formats and best taken aurally or via a series of injections in the belly.

Here's a video of someone called David Holmes driving a Fiat Panda.
