The Doors... kinda... replace Ian Astbury...

Riders_on_the_storm_photo Have you seen Cocoon? Or that bit in the Jackass movie when they're all old... jus' sayin' y'know?

Riders On The Storm, the band featuring Ray Manzarek and Robby Kreiger from The Doors, have got themselves a new frontman after Ian Astbury (of The Cult) did a bunk. So who is this new guy set to fill ample leather kecks? He's called Brett Scallions.

Scallions, a former vocalist for rock band Fuel will join ex-Doormen for his first live performance with them at London's Kentish Town Forum on July 8.

Guitarist Krieger said: "Jim Morrison can never be replaced, but this project has never been about that. It's about giving a voice to the body of work we created with Jim in a live setting." Ray Manzarek said on the official site for Riders on the Storm; "Well, we got the new singer. He's going to be great! Big voice, commanding stage presence. Prowls like a cat. 6 feet tall, 165 lbs. Blond spiked out hair. Wears leather like it's licorice!"

If you're interested, this him in Fuel...

(fugg me sideways... that's bad)

Remind yerself of The Doors...

Oh, and he's still alive too... CLICK HERE.
