Bob Dylan to perform at World Expo

Bobdylan66 Bob Dylan has today (May 14th) been confirmed by organisers of this year's World Expo in Zaragoza, Spain, to perform at the event on June 23th. Not one to sit still and rest on his laurels (sometimes to a fault), Dylan had recorded a new version of 'A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall' for use on adverts promoting the 2008 World Expo... now he's gonna perform it.

A local band called Amaral have also recorded a Spanish version of the song. The world fair has a theme of 'water' this year and the song includes the singer's spoken comments on the importance of clean water across the world. Iggy Pop, Alanis Morissette and Spanish opera singer Montserrat Caballe are some of the other artists set to perform at the Expo. The World Expo runs from June 14th to September 14th.

You can hear it here... and his funny voice talking about water.
