Get this. In Detroit, someone called Patty McMillan gave loadsa cash away to someone pretending to be Tone Loc's manager. Of course, the swindler said Tone Loc would play at their bar, but this being a swindler, Tone Loc never appeared. So guess whut?

That's right. McMillan and Judy Johnson of Bumpers contacted Tone Loc's real manager and the rapper offered to play the shows for a nominal fee. Now THAT is keepin' it real. Unless he sends an imposter or something.

There is a law in media that, when writing about a rapper, you must include the birth name. So here it is. Tone Loc is really called Anthony Terrel Smith.
