World's greatest ever banjo abuser and Monk RIP

Davedayrip Recently, The Monks got it back on at Cavestomp... and then in London... and left everyone running for cover... just like the good old days. Everyone thought they were tuffenuff, but when faced with the dark skin stripping onslaught from The Monks, well, some just weren't up to it.

The Monks' sonic assault is legendary... and key to the white noise... the rhythmic throat hacking... was the finest banjo player the world did ever see, Mr Dave Day. Sadly, Dave has just left the building. From fellow Monktimer Eddie Shaw: "Two days before the birthday of his hero, Elvis - Dave Day of the Monks suffered a heart attack and massive brain injury. He has been taken off the life support system today. His work is done." Banjos around the world are sighing with relief, but they all know that they will never be so beautifully abused ever again.
