Go and buy an eBook all about the wonders of vinyl
Cuz I'm a media slut, I get stuff for free. While the Roulette readership sits and soaks up the drivel, we sell our arses to get you the things you read. Now and again, we get like minded souls who don't want anything more than a like-mind... and in the case of Robert Benson, someone who understands vinyl... someone who really digs it.
Of course, we're all (to some extent) vinyl junkies who congregate here and our friend Doctor Robert sent me an eBook he's written all about the most glorious format in the world... and thankfully, his book is as glorious as an eye-popping psychedelic sleeve! Robert understands that need for the golden rekkid that will make our collection complete "but alas, once we find it, we realise that our record collection will never be complete. So off again we go to the garage sales, the church bazaars, flea markets..."
The eBook, called Collecting Vinyl Records, features everything you need to know... or want to read about... regarding those wonderful groove filled bits of plastic. Of course, the last part of that sentence was a little flippant as we all know, there is so much more to a record than a bit of vinyl with a tune contained. If you dig the sleeves, the sights, the joys of coloured vinyl, the feeling of history, the meeting people in record shops, the smell, the tactile interaction with the music... all those things you occasionally think about with slight guilt... this is the book for you. So how can ya git yaw paws on one?
Easy. Click here. The scroll down. Pay the man just under $6 (which is a mere coupla quid to Brit readers) and get it downloaded to your computer. It'll be a matter of seconds into reading this that you'll be armed with killer arguments against the nay-sayers and filled with a sense that you are not alone in your sonic-fetish.
Click here to read part one of Death of the LP... I don't think so buddy and then, read part two.
