Dennis Wilson's Pacific Ocean Blue to get re-release
I've never heard Dennis Wilson's Pacific Ocean Blue LP. Apparently, it's a killer. So why ain't I got it? Well, sure 'nuff, I dig The Beach Boys, but hell, I ain't paying over £100 on an LP by a drummer. So shoot me. Anyway, good news is that the classic album is to get a re-release... and it's not some poxy limited run.
Wilson's LP has been out of print for over 15 years thanks to arguments about who owns it and all that, but now, it's set to see the light of day again with a two-disc CD reissue and, for vinyl junkies, a repress on 180g. The CD will include the original album’s 12 tracks alongside unreleased songs from the sessions as well as one disc dedicated to unreleased tracks from Wilson’s proposed follow-up album “Bamboo”.
Should be out on May 13 in the US, it will likely see release the day before in the UK.
