Stone Roses to reform for Manchester Versus Cancer 2008?

Andy Rourke has announced initial details of the 2008 Versus Cancer charity show - but was very cryptic about the acts on show this year.

The show takes place on February 23rd at the MEN Arena, with a line-up yet to be confirmed, but according to Rourke: "This year's gig is going to be talked about for years to come. We've got some of the biggest bands of the moment lined up as well as some legendary acts that haven't performed live for a long time."

Now, make your own mind up about that - but as most of the main acts tend to be Manchester bands and as Ian Brown has previously been part of the event, I'd put a few quid on a Stone Roses reformation. And when it does happen, remember where you read it first.
