Sex Pistols sell their old spotty arses (again)

Sexpistols Nevermind the bollocks, here comes the cash cows! The Sex Pistols have sold their arses once again ("no futuuuure" my fucking eye... they're walking mortgages) by re-recording their hit "Anarchy in the U.K." for use in the upcoming video game "Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock."

It was the first time singer John Lydon, guitarist Steve Jones and drummer Paul Cook had been in the studio together since the late 1970s. Recording took place at London's Air Studios with producer Chris Thomas. "I wasn't sure how it was going to turn out but it actually turned out great and I think everyone held their own," Jones says. "I like ['Guitar Hero'] because my friends' kids like it. And I like what kids like."

In addition, the group has augmented a previously announced Nov. 8 date at London's Brixton Academy with shows the following two nights. "Guitar Hero III" is sponsoring the first show. As previously reported, next month marks the 03th anniversary of the release of the Pistols' debut, "Never Mind the Bollocks." Virgin will on Oct. 29 reissue the effort on heavyweight vinyl, and the singles "Anarchy in the U.K.," "God Save the Queen," "Pretty Vacant" and "Holidays in the Sun," will appear throughout the month as 7-inches.
